This position has arisen following the acquisition of the business and the planned exit of the current MD, and founder, during 2025.

Ā If you are an MD looking for a new challenge or have senior management experience & IT distribution experience, then this could be the role for you.Ā  The ideal candidate should have experience with hardware brands or managing diverse product categories, enabling them to drive business success and effectively lead the team.

The MDā€™s tasks will be to achieve profitable growth and responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong customer relationships to secure repeat orders and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with headquarters' reporting requirements and regulations.
  • Balancing a hybrid business model that combines distribution operations with a manufacturing hardware brand mindset.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to stay competitive.
  • Engage with existing customers, key accounts, and potential clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Oversee the Auto-ID and EPOS product lines.
  • Manage and coordinate the product portfolio in collaboration with key suppliers.
  • Provide leadership to senior staff across departments, including product management, sales, procurement, logistics, and finance.
  • Monitor indicators such as revenue & cost (top line and bottom line), gross margins by product, and revenue by key accounts.
  • Negotiate costs effectively, including goods costs, operational costs, and efficiency-related expenses.

To be successful as the MD you will need:-

  • IT distribution and/or IT manufacturer ā€“ with channel sales ā€œgo to marketā€ model (not end user sales)
  • Senior management experience and experience working for a subsidiary of a group company
  • The ability to attend exhibitions etc as required
