Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with a respected and family-run provider of children’s specialist care services to recruit a Business Development Manager who can promote the business with local authorities and support the business with its ambitious growth agenda.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for obtaining, managing, and placing new residents during a period of significant growth for the business. This will be a fast-paced role with lots of variety, building deep-rooted partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally with local authorities to identify their needs and position the group’s high-quality services to meet such needs. Most of your time will be spent out in the field, supporting teams across the Manchester and Yorkshire local authorities and otherwise working from home.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in how commissioning works and they will already have established contacts within the sector/region. Importantly, they will possess a firm understanding of the care sector - how children’s homes operate on a day-to-day basis and how the referral process works. Applicants must be comfortable communicators, with strong prioritization skills and a track record of commercial success.

Interview Process

A two-stage process:

  • An informal phone call with one of the owners
  • A formal interview with the owners
