Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with prospects and clients, and promoting our consultancy services, particularly within the fields of employee experience, employee engagement, and internal communications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our company and work with both internal teams and external clients to deliver exceptional services that meet their needs.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and target prospective new clients through comprehensive research, networking, and outreach efforts. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Present and promote the company’s consultancy services to potential clients, demonstrating the value and benefits of our offerings. Effectively respond to client needs with tailored solutions and actionable plans.

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve sales goals. Manage the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing, including negotiating and finalizing contracts.

  • Utilise CRM software effectively to manage outreach, track prospect interactions, and maintain a clear record of sales activities. Ensure a disciplined approach to maintaining a healthy sales funnel and achieving set activity and conversion targets.

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, potential partners, and relevant tenders. Analyse industry trends and changes to stay ahead of market developments and ensure the company’s services remain competitive and aligned with client needs.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, SMEs, and delivery teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Provide regular reports on sales performance, including new and existing client activity, to senior management.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in employee experience, employee engagement, and internal communications to offer relevant insights and solutions to clients.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals to potential clients, aligning the company’s services with client needs and objectives.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly within a consultancy or professional services environment. Demonstrated ability to drive new business acquisition and achieve sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of employee experience, employee engagement, and internal communications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Fluency in management-level terminology and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills. Proven track record of pursuing and securing new business opportunities.

  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in CRM software

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
