Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working with a well established and successful business based in central York, who are looking to appoint a Sales Manager to the team.
Reporting into the Head of Customer Contact, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the sales team to maximise conversion rate of every telephone enquiry while providing a world-class level of customer experience.
Your duties will be to:
- Lead, manage and develop the team to deliver their accountabilities and responsibilities.
- Build and improve capability and motivation within the team through one to ones, coaching, feedback, development and empowerment.
- Drive a performance and customer focused culture within the team.
- Create and drive a high performing, motivational sales environment, ensuring the team are energised to achieve their targets and deliver a great customer experience.
- Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure operational excellence and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.
- Manage and foster relationships with suppliers and third parties.
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the team’s output and performance.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to support stakeholders in making data-driven decisions.
- Embody and promote a one team approach across the business.
- Make improvements to the parts the team plays in the customer journey.
- Be part of the on-call team on a rota basis.
Our client is ideally looking for an experienced people manager with the ability to nurture and develop sales teams, ideally from a contact centre environment.

Salary £35,000 plus benefits
