The Project

As a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role as part of the senior management team, overseeing the electrical packages on the upgrades of various rail depots. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Valid CSCS / JIB / ECS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • Proven experience managing electrical packages on rail projects
  • Minimum of three years in an Electrical Project Manager or equivalent role for a reputable contractor or subcontractor

Duties

  • Client Management
  • Conduction of audits
  • Oversee daily electrical operations
  • Offer specialised electrical expertise
  • Direct liaison with other subcontractors
  • Resolve challenges that could affect project timelines
  • Conduct thorough project assessments and analyses
  • Monitor project spending to maintain budget alignment
  • Oversee and coordinate electrical works on multiple jobs
  • Maintain and enforce health and safety standards on-site
  • Working closely and directly reporting to Managing Director
  • Work closely with head office to appoint quality subcontractors
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimise them
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to the schedule
  • Respond to client concerns and issues swiftly and professionally
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources, including staff, equipment, and materials
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure the on-time delivery of materials and equipment
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Set and maintain quality control standards to ensure project deliverables meet the defined requirements
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports
