Adecco's property services specialist division north is delighted to be partnering with a nationwide housing provider to recruit for 2 x Building surveyors to work off their Northwest and Yorkshire offices.PurposeThe postholder will be responsible and accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of the group's Repairs, Maintenance and Capital Component Upgrade works via our supporting contractors while taking an active role and responsibility around CDM and Health and Safety Management of works within a geographical region and under your control.

Duties* You will hold responsibility for the day-to-day organisation, scheduling, supervision and responsibility for the safety, technical standard and quality of the works and associated activities carried out in these areas. The operational delivery of Group policies and procedures to ensure compliance, including the identification, management and mitigation of risk, and production of risk assessments, safe working practice and procedures.* To provide technical advice on building refurbishment and maintenance contracts* The preparation of contract documentation and specifications, including monitoring contractual obligations and assessing any potential consequential claims* Management and control of Repairs, Maintenance and Capital programmes and budgets - including on-site monitoring* To be responsible for the inspection and of work in progress and post inspection of work undertaken by contractors ensuring quality, satisfaction, Safety, and compliance is maintained.* Contractors' management and leading repairs worksCandidate requirements* HNC in the Build environment or similar recognised qualification at level 4 or higher* Strong experience withing repairs and maintenance in the housing sector or similar - on delivery * Significant experience in arranging and supervising works to domestic and commercial properties* Good experience of supervising a team and/or contractors to ensure service delivery, managing change and developing people* Great communication skills and able to provide great customer service* Good understanding how contracts workSalary and Benefits* £40,000 - 41,000 annual salary* Competitive salary, with a salary review yearly* Pension with matched contributions up to 7%* Excellent holiday package - up to 35 days annual leave with the option to buy or sell leave* Overtime as and when required* Cashback plan for healthcare costs - up to £500 saving per year* A bonus scheme for all colleagues at 2%* Training and development* Extra perks including huge discounts and offers from shops, cinemas and much more.
