Our client, a renowned player in the rail industry, is seeking a dedicated Rail Surveyor (Civils) to join their team. As a Rail Surveyor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the precision and efficiency of rail infrastructure projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting land surveys and setting out tasks independently
  • Utilising AutoCAD and LSS software for processing survey data
  • Collaborating with senior team members and adhering to given instructions
  • Performing monitoring practices and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations during rail surveying activities
  • Undertaking night shifts, day shifts, and weekend work as required
  • Travelling and staying away from home when necessary


Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency with processing software, particularly AutoCAD and LSS
  • Experience as both a surveyor and setting out engineer
  • Ability to carry out most survey tasks with minimal training
  • Desirable to have experience in monitoring practices and procedures
  • Keen interest in developing personal skills and knowledge
  • Desirable but not essential: experience in rail surveying
  • Full UK driver's licence
