A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Building Surveyor/Associate Director to join an expanding company who are looking for some to assist in the future growth.

Role Overview:

The Senior Building Surveyor/Associate Director will oversee the York office’s operations, manage key client relationships, and deliver a range of professional building surveying services. This individual will also play a pivotal role in mentoring and supporting junior team members, including a Graduate Building Surveyor.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the York office, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Deliver high-quality building surveying services, including surveys, inspections, dilapidations, party wall matters, and defect analysis.
  • Oversee project management activities, from inception to completion, including contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with RICS standards and all relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making as part of the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and delivering a range of building surveying services.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and a focus on business development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building regulations, contracts, and industry standards.
