PURPOSE OF ROLE 

We're assisting a well-established insurance firm in recruiting a professional for a vital role within their organisation.As an Account Handler you will deliver expert advice and exceptional service all round. You will be responsible for managing policy events, maintaining strong relationships to retain existing customers, and driving new business through outstanding customer service and relationship development.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop tailored insurance solutions, pricing, and placement strategies
  • Deliver comprehensive client service and manage policy details
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners
  • Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with colleagues
  • Place commercial lines business in approved markets
  • Keep clients informed of regulatory and market updates
  • Coordinate with departments for swift query resolution

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in the UK insurance market with knowledge of regulations and compliance
  • Familiarity with General Commercial insurance classes
  • Strong client service and administrative skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team experience supporting both clients and colleagues
  • Proficient in communication and MS Office Suite
  • Skilled in Acturis for accurate data management

DAY-TO-DAY 

  • Offer expert guidance and support to clients
  • Handle policy events in compliance with regulations
  • Build strong relationships to retain clients and generate new business through exceptional service

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and Acturis
