Our client requires a qualified and experiencedSlinger / Banksman foraconstruction project in York,starting on 19th May 2025for 10 months duration, working with a luffing jib tower crane.

This is a critical role, working close to a busy road / pedestrian area, so we need someone reliable, with proven experiencewho takes the safety implications of this role very seriously. Must beconsidered, safety conscious and able to coordinate both the public and site personnel at times, with excellentcommunication skills.

CPCS essential. An Appointed Person qualification / Lifting Operations would be advantageous.

  • Safely coordinating and guiding crane operations, compliant with safety standards.
  • Actingas the Appointed Person, overseeing lifting operations and ensuring all activities adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaisingwith diverse teams to ensure efficient and effective lifting procedures.
  • Safety checks and risk assessments.
  • Documenting and reporting any incidents /near misses during operations.
  • Maintaining clear communication with all team members to coordinate activities.
