Joinery Shopfitting
£35,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance
A fantastic opportunity is available to join a family run Principal Contractor based out of North Yorkshire. Having been trading for a little over 15 years, they have quickly grown to be a well-known and well respected company with a annual turnover last year exceeding £5M.
This role will include working on sites across the UK (including Northern Ireland) and so a full UK driving license is essential.
The successful candidate will be working on a variety of Fit-Out projects for clients such as Children with Cancer UK, Trespass and the NHS.
The Duties
- Create Bill of Materials for each project and update with further requirements throughout the project.
- Deliver construction mainly with contract values ranging from c£250k to c£2m.
- Liaise closely with the ICM purchasing department to order all materials, especially identifying long lead items.
- Arrange for material / finishes samples to be presented to the client team as required.
- Arrange and attend regular progress meetings and report minutes to the Contracts Manager.
- Manage on site trades to ensure collaboration and maintain good progress.
- Be prepared to travel on a national basis and stay away as required.
- Ensure all joinery items are drawn up by ICM and approvals are obtained.
- Be the 1st contact for the client and their team.
- Feedback variations to quoted sums as required.
- Request and submit all certification, O&M information in a timely manner.
- Liaise with the Principal Designer on CDM matters and Building Control throughout the project.
- Obtain final Building Control certificate sign off.
- Supervise snagging in a timely manner and ensure the required quality is achieved.
- Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion
The Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- You will be a Project Manager from a shopfitting or joinery background.
- Previous experience of the above duties.
- Knowledge of the Building Regulations.
- Effective planning and programming experience.
- Effective communication and written skills.
- Be prepared to work nationwide.
- Financial and commercial awareness.
