A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a leading supplier to the Oil & Gas / Offshore industry

Job Description:

  • Ensure that the Project is executed safely, within budget and on time.
  • Ensure full understanding and implementation of Contract obligations throughout the organisation
  • Coordinate and manage all internal/external third-party liaisons.  
  • Ensure successful completion of the Project in accordance with the QHSE objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project planning and reporting systems in accordance with the requirements of the contract and QHSE procedures.
  • Establish and maintain detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure that other members of the project team have a detailed understanding of the project objectives and requirements, in particularly technical specification, schedule and cost limits and set clear objectives and deadlines for each department.
  • Monitor, analyse and feedback the progress of all project tasks and milestones against the project objectives with the respective project team member. Anticipate, initiate and implement corrective actions with the respective department managers as required to maintain the project objectives.
  • Maintain and present project cost & status reports and any other appropriate documentation to management at a monthly project reviews. 
  • Be prepared to give a detailed explanation of the status of the project, justification of any movements in the project costs and PBT and any corrective actions necessary to maintain the project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the client.
  • Provide progressive management, leadership and development of project personnel.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Behaviours conducive to the effective management and leadership of projects to meet the project objectives.
  • Ensure that the highest standards of technical integrity are maintained.
  • Ensure effective interface with clients, vendors, other units and other project stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate monthly forecasting in accordance with management requirements.
  • Highlight any areas of concern that may develop within the projects. 
  • Maximise the prospects for repeat business by maintaining a good working relationship with the client.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Further education or Degree qualified in a technical or business management field (relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree training).
  • Project management qualification – MSc, Prince 2 Certificate, Diploma or similar higher training.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering, procurement, construction/assembly/production and test project lifecycles (EPCI). 
  • Stakeholder Management essential
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Good organisational and motivational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve; evaluate and manage risk.
  • Conversant with all project management controls and tools.
  • Must have strong I T Skills.
  • Must be computer literate and intermediate user of MS Project.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in project management in a bespoke manufacturing, assembly and production environment at a Senior Level.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary manufacturing.
  • Experience with offshore operations and maintenance is advantageous.
