Project Manager - Renewable Energy

Location: Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, York, Leeds, Carlisle , Harrogate, and surrounding areas. Occasional site visits required.

Basic Salary: £55,000 + Company Car + Additional Benefits

The Opportunity

As a Project Manager, you will oversee and drive projects from the pre-planning phase through to construction, contributing to our mission of achieving a net-zero emission world.

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for renewable energy? You will play a crucial role in managing high-impact projects across the Northeast, Yorkshire, and Wales. This role offers the chance to influence sustainable energy development by leading a diverse range of projects and ensuring they are delivered successfully on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, including planning experts, technical experts, estate managers, commercial analysts, and construction teams, to achieve successful project outcomes.

- Manage projects according to the Project Management Framework (PMF), ensuring adherence to company standards.

- Develop and implement risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

- Maintain and manage core project documents, such as financial appraisals, cash flows, budgets, and risk registers.

- Oversee projects from site identification through to engineering design, planning consents, due diligence, financial close, and construction.

- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including local authorities, landowners, and community groups.

Qualifications and Experience:

- At least 3 years of project management and leadership experience, preferably in renewable energy or property development.

- Familiarity with project management principles such as PRINCE2, APM, or RICS.

- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

- Understanding of UK health and safety regulations and planning systems.

- A degree in environmental science, renewable energy, engineering, or a related field is desirable.

This role reports directly to the Senior Project Manager and involves working closely with senior leadership and various teams to deliver impactful renewable energy projects.
