Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Supervisor to join our newly established department. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a small, collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality service across a variety of landscaping and civil works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tasks such as vegetation clearance, tree pruning and removal, stump grinding, fencing installation and removal, and levelling and grading works. Additional responsibility will include managing the installation and removal of culverts, stone roads, and compound construction for our various clients, as well as coordinating re-seeding and re-planting projects. The Project Supervisor will ensure that the projects are executed to the highest standards, maintain, and strengthen our client relationships, and enforce strict health and safety standards across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of ground operatives, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality outcomes.
  • Track project progression and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and providing timely updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients through transparent communication and a proactive approach to service.
  • Collect, analyse, and act on client feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular safety and quality inspections and audits to uphold our commitment to excellence.
  • Mentor and support team members to develop their skills and enhance overall team performance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to implement project plans and monitor progress, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Adhere to and enforce strict Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

 Qualifications, Requirements & Experience:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to work remotely as needed.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS qualification preferred; training can be provided.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work certification (training available if not already obtained)
  • Relevant experience in the Grounds Maintenance or Construction industry.
  • Proven experience in managing or supervising teams effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paces environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and team members.
