Role & Client Overview:

Our client is a leading provider of education, training, and employability services, delivering high-quality programmes that support individuals in achieving their full potential. They are seeking a Learning Facilitator Coordinator/Team Leader to lead a team of Learning Facilitators within their prison education programme at HMP Millsike.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in rehabilitation, overseeing engaging educational content, coordinating learning sessions, and ensuring a high standard of educational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Manage and support a team of Learning Facilitators to ensure high-quality educational delivery across the prison.
  • Scheduling & Timetabling: Oversee session planning to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operation of educational activities.
  • Content Development: Create and curate engaging learning materials tailored to the diverse needs of prisoners across a range of subjects.
  • Hands-On Facilitation: Deliver at least two learning sessions per week, modelling best practices in education delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with educators, prison staff, and external partners to support seamless learning integration.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess facilitation quality, providing feedback and conducting regular reviews.
  • Programme Engagement: Support evening and weekend educational programmes where required.
  • Data & Reporting: Track attendance, participation, and learner progress, producing reports to evaluate the programme’s impact.
  • Problem Solving: Address learning challenges creatively, driving continuous improvement in educational delivery.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

Essential:

  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in leading a team, with the ability to motivate and develop others.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in education facilitation or coordination.
  • Knowledge of prison education, rehabilitation, or training programmes.
