SupportED Recruitment are looking for teaching assistants to work in our Selby schools this Autumn 2 term (York schools are also available). The short term and long term placements would be either general and 1:1 TA positions working in either EYFS, KS1 or KS2. In the role your duties will include:

  • Showing a friendly and professional approach with staff and children
  • Assisting the class teacher whilst they are delivering lessons and activities
  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis
  • Providing social and emotional support
  • Helping the children with their education, by helping to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress
  • Generating resources
  • Supporting the class teacher with potential challenging behaviour
