Sonic Summary

Triton Recruitment is seeking an electrically biased maintenance technician for a premier manufacturing site in York.
The position offers a salary ranging from £51,000 to £52,000 per year, with additional benefits including a company pension and free on-site parking.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of electrical maintenance and operation of factory machines, along with practical mechanical and electrical abilities.
This is a full-time role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, including a call-out every other week.
Applicants should be committed to quality and safety, and ideally have experience in a similar role.

This is a days only role Monday to Friday 8am to 16.30pm

The role does include a call out as below.

Every other week.

Call out period is:

Monday to Friday: 4:30pm to 8:00am

Saturday: 8:00am to 6:00pm

(No cover for 24 hrs between Saturday at 6:00pm to Sunday at 6:00pm)

Sunday to Monday: 6:00pm to 8:00am

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Providing day to day maintenance support to ensure all plant and machinery are maintained to a high standard, to enable the safe and efficient running of the manufacturing operation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure safe working practices are always observed to minimise risks to personnel with production areas
Ensure that scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance are completed for all major items of plant equipment
Support management processes for the maintenance programme
Ensure that all documentation required for quality, health and safety and environment is completed satisfactorily
In conjunction with the Technical Engineering Director and Management, provide assistance by collating specifications for any new or modified equipment
To work with Siemens PLC's, motors and drives
To be able to interpret drawings and technical manuals
Ensure all waste is correctly segregated and disposed of in the appropriate waste container
Awareness and adherence to the Companys, Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Policies and Procedures
Strict adherence of the Company Hygiene Policy and Procedure

OTHER DUTIES:

This is not an exhaustive list and the person employed in this role should be willing to undertake other tasks if required within the remit of the role.

EXPERIENCE: Good knowledge of electrical maintenance and operation of all factory machines

Good practical mechanical / electrical ability
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision Commitment to product, quality and safety
Be positive, flexible and hardworking
