Join a leading organisation based in York, North Yorkshire, as an Employee Relations Advisor. This role offers the opportunity to utilise your expertise in employee relations to support and coach managers across the organisation, ensuring effective management of various personnel cases.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide expert advice and case management on disciplinary and grievance cases, capability issues, performance management, long-term absence, and AWOL issues.
Support the upskilling of managers on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Attend formal hearings to provide necessary advice and support managers in finalising robust outcomes.
Prepare detailed investigation reports.
Report on case volumes, status, and trends, and update people business partners on complex or high-risk cases.
Assist in the preparation of bundles and defence against claims when Employment Tribunals arise.
Support people business partners with restructuring projects, redundancies, and TUPE processes as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in an Employee Relations role.
Strong understanding of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Ability to handle complex ER cases and provide sound advice.
Excellent report writing and case management skills.
Experience in supporting restructuring and redundancy processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
