Our client is seeking a hospitality technician to start ASAP on an ongoing temporary basis.
Hours 7am - 2pm Mon - Fri.
Duties include:
To provide support to hospitality tutors and students in a variety of learning situations, to ensure ingredients are ready for lessons.
Promote and implement good housekeeping, health and safety and hygiene in all kitchens, stores, and the restauarant.
Prepare kitchens to support teaching and learning staff, including supporting staff and students in the safe operation of equipment, as appropriate.
Process and place orders with suppliers, receive and process deliveries, and maintain stock controls and inventories.
Assist in maintaining Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures, processes and record keeping as directed by Food Safety and H & S Coordinators.
Basic Food Safety and H & S certificate and a level 2 hospitality vocational qualification is required.
Previous experience would be beneficial, including operational knowledge of catering equipment, accurate record keeping and stock control skills, and experience of quality assurance processes in a catering environment.
