One to One Recruitment are working with a training and education based business in York to find an experienced Fundraising/Business Development Manager.

The Fundraising/Business Development Manager will provide the highest standard of service to identify, champion and secure investment.

Whilst being involved in a wide range of activities, you will have a particular remit for:

  • Actively seeking out new sales opportunities and accounts through calling, emailing, networking & social media.
  • Targeting UK schools, Trusts & MATs to sell a portfolio of Services including CPD subscriptions, consultancy and wrap-around services and educational experiences.
  • Securing education-related sponsors for conferences and events.
  • Play a supporting role in targeting international opportunities.
  • Updating the pipeline and ensuring sales and marketing documentation is kept updated and relevant.

To be the successful Fundraising/Business Development Manager you will have the following:

  • A highly successful track record in business development, specifically in developing new profit streams in UK and international markets
  • Expertise in operating in a variety of business models (B2C, B2B) & adept in market assessment (desk research and clear recommendations)
  • Strong skills in developing business cases, pitch documentation, and subsequent negotiating and closing deals
  • High-quality stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels
  • Proven ability to assimilate and identify relevant action from a large body of knowledge - quickly
  • Relevant undergraduate degree and/or have a substantial track record of achievement with one or more organisations
  • Education-sector experience would be desirable (not essential) - other sectors (adjacent or otherwise) though may offer perspective

The successful Fundraising/Business Development Manager will have:

  • A demonstrable background in a Business Development role.
  • Experience of data management and analysis, including its use to support sales planning and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic manner and ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organisation.

This is a new position so you will need to bring your sales experience to the fore and be able to work on your own initiative. You will have the support of a brilliant team of people promoting an unparalled portfolio of services to the corporate and education based organisations.

Salary: £36-£39K

Job Type: Permanent (hybrid (3 days in), flexible working hours) - based in York
