GBR Recruitment Limited are proudly working exclusively with one of the UK’s leading Charities, recruiting for an experienced Director of Fundraising, to successfully modify the Fundraising / income strategy & roll it out operationally, securing new income streams, new advocates & new supporters of such a fantastic cause that is changing lives for the better.

As the Fundraising expert, you will ideally be Degree qualified, or you will be time served in a Senior Fundraising Management / Directorship capacity within a UK Charity / NFP (3rd sector).

Securing diverse revenue streams & achieving fundraising successes, will be in your DNA!

You will be strong strategically & operationally, with a background as a strong team manager (ideally teams of 5 or more) who relishes developing others & a who is a strong mentor / coach.

This role is ideal for a target driven Fundraising professional wanting to make a real impact.

Duties:

  • Passionately & professionally leading the highly successful development, implementation & delivery of the Charities Fundraising Strategy (5 year strategic plan & onwards).
  • Managing the fundraising departments performance levels, ensuring the delivery of agreed annual fundraising targets (ideally exceeding).
  • Mentor, coach & develop the fundraising team to achieve the best results they can.
  • Maximising income revenue streams, plus developing new & diverse sources of income.
  • Promote innovation & blue-sky thinking when it comes to fundraising channels / methods.
  • Make strategic & educated data-led decisions, based on data analysis / market intelligence.
  • Continuously improve & develop departmental processes & fundraising plans (CI focused).
  • Professionally network with an array of fundraising professionals & enable the sharing of best practice ideas & the successful identification of opportunities for collaboration.
  • Expand the Charities reach & exposure, by growing trusting & authentic relationships.
  • Be the number one advocate for promoting a culture of fundraising across the Charity.
  • Deliver top class supporter stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance to fundraising legislation, standards & best practice at all times.
  • Promote the Fundraising team’s personal development (L&D / Training / Qualifications).
  • Build strong professional relationships with colleagues at all levels of the Charity.
  • Be a key collaborator for developing wider organisational strategies, actively contributing to cross departmental planning & development opportunities (key member of the SMT).
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team to further enhance the profile of the Charity amongst their current supporters & the public / target audience.
  • Successfully expand the Charities external network of influence & engagement, seeking opportunities to always maximise the impact of the Charities fantastic work.
  • Engage & work closely with the Charities Board of Trustees, reporting fundraising activity to the board & the wider committee (MI reports).
  • Be a key advocate of the Charities core values, promoting them both internally & externally.
