The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team is working closely with a Christian charity working hard to better the lives of people in the York area.

We are supporting them with their recruitment for a Head of Programme Delivery to drive forward their transformation. The transformation project is early but there are clear objectives in place - this role is going to be taking lead of the overall strategic plan.

What the Head of Programme Delivery will be doing
You will be responsible for all aspects of the programme including planning, resourcing, budget, monitoring and tracking and managing risk.

  • Develop and manage a high-quality reporting framework for the financing board
  • Lead the Project Management Office - managing strategic risks, leading good practice and managing dependencies
  • Working with the communications team to develop and manage an engagement plan
  • Lead the development of applications for external funding opportunities
  • Analyse any proposed changes to the project's scope

What the successful Head of Programme Delivery will bring to the team
You will have track record of delivering transformation projects in a complex environment, with the ability to take charge of and drive programme strategy.

  • A full understanding of programme delivery from inception through to completion
  • Experience of developing reporting frameworks for external funding bodies
  • An experience or awareness of the difficulties working within the charity sector
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to get buy in from stakeholders across the organisation
  • Strong analytical skills in both quantitative and qualitative information, and the ability to use that to drive projects
  • An respect toward working within a Christian environment
