Onsite Support Engineer | York | Up to £30,000

Jonathan Bosworth Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a leading IT services provider in the search for a motivated IT Onsite Support Engineer. The Role: As an Onsite Support Engineer, you will be based at a customer site in York, providing hands-on technical support while also offering remote assistance via phone and digital platforms. You'll manage a range of endpoints, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, ensuring issues are quickly assessed and resolved, escalating when needed.

In addition to troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, you’ll be responsible for managing tickets efficiently, keeping detailed records, and maintaining regular updates throughout the issue resolution process.

Your Experience: To succeed in this role, you’ll have at least one year of experience in both remote and onsite IT support, along with a strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud services.

Key technical skills include:

  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 product suite, including Azure Active Directory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Experience in user and group management, device management, remote administration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong familiarity with Windows OS (Windows 10 to Windows 11)
  • Ability to diagnose hardware faults (Windows, Android, iOS devices)

Additionally, you should have:

  • A solid grasp of TCP/IP networking
  • Experience working with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change Management, and Request Fulfilment
  • An understanding of ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 standards

Requirements:

  • You must be based in or around York, with a full driving license and access to your own car, as this role is fully on-site.
  • Eligibility for SC Clearance is required.
