Join our dynamic data and analytics team as an Analytics Consultant. This role is ideal for experts in business intelligence, data analysis, or data visualisation who are passionate about developing and delivering analytics solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on end-to-end projects, translating business problems into data-driven solutions and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Data Analytics Consultant

  • Annual Salary: £55,000 - £65,000                 
  • Location: York
  • Job Type: Full-time, hybrid working (once per week in office)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with business units, IT teams, and external third parties to deliver effective solutions.
  • Identify and assess potential solutions for technical and business suitability.
  • Design, build, and deliver impactful and insightful dashboards, visualisations, and reports.
  • Engineer datasets for use in analysis and engage project stakeholders to elicit requirements such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and business cases.
  • Promote the use of analytics best practices across the group and document key activities and processes.
  • Provide general BAU support including training, mentoring, and applying DevOps/DataOps principles.
  • Handle ad-hoc queries and requests from the business through an internal case management system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business intelligence, data engineering, data analysis, or data visualisation.
  • Expertise with modern analytics/BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
  • Strong understanding of data preparation tools like Alteryx Designer, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, MS Power Platform.
  • Proficient in T-SQL and data visualisation best practices.
  • Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to work autonomously.
