Our client is a leading, highly regarded legal practice based in the York region. This firm has a well below average turnover of staff, a dedicated team of lawyers and support staff well established with a strong client base. They are seeking a fully experienced Solicitor to work alongside a highly skilled property lawyer (and office dog!).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive service to clients relating to residential property transactions
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with a high degree of accuracy.
- Handle sale, purchase, remortgage conveyancing files from taking instruction through to post comp with the aid of an assistant
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Utilise IT tools such as Microsoft Excel and Outlook to manage data and correspondence efficiently.
- Manage time effectively to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience as Solicitor or in a similar fee earner role within a legal environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Proficient in audio typing, with a good understanding of legal terminology.
- Competent in using office software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) to enhance productivity.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
