Location: Hybrid - York or Gateshead (On-site at least 3 days per week)

Job Overview:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Protection Scheme Interface Manager to work on a high-profile rail project. This is a key role in a bids team, managing the integration of project risks and ensuring compliance with Network Rail governance. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Develop and implement solutions for high-value, externally funded projects (Levels of Control 2, 3 & 4) while managing integration with operational railway systems and ensuring compliance with the GRIP lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Network Rail governance and assurance processes. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Client Liaison: Interpret the client remit and programme to clarify operational railway interface requirements. Devise solutions that enable early, clear decision-making.
  • Compliance & CDM Regulations: Work with Construction Design Management (CDM) Clients and other duty holders to ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations.
  • Project Resource Allocation & Assurance: Assist in securing and allocating resources for projects and ensure the delivery is in line with Network Rail processes.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Monitor and manage project risks and performance across the project lifecycle, providing ongoing solutions and support.
  • Cost Recovery: Support the recovery of Network Rail costs in line with legal agreements, ensuring the full recovery of costs from external parties.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Membership (or working towards membership) with the Association for Project Management.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation (or equivalent) certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of operational railway and railway infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects in the rail industry.
  • Solid understanding of project commercial requirements and programme controls.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and CSM-RA.
