Henderson Brown is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire, who are looking for an Engineering Shift Leader to oversee a team of Engineers for their site.Responsibilities:* Plan, prioritise, and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance work to ensure plant availability.* Ensure all work complies with safety, food safety, legal standards, and company policies, maintaining accurate documentation.* Leading a team of Engineers, overseeing their daily tasks and performance.* Monitor and escalate Health and Safety, Food Safety, and audit standards, working with shift managers to resolve issues.* Support the technical and operations teams with audit, retail, and food safety requirements.* Drive Health, Safety, and Environment improvement initiatives and actions.* Organise planned work and coordinate reactive works and plant availability prioritisation.* Supervise and organise reactive contractors and contracted service requirements, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.Requirements:* Level 3 Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, i.e. HNC/NVQ* Experience in Lean manufacturing principles.* Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).* Knowledge of HACCP.* Proven leadership experience with a focus on coaching and mentoring teams.This role is a shift based, including days and nights.
