Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 per annum
Contract Length: Fixed term contract (Until the end of the year), with potential to go permanent
About the Role:
My client are seeking a skilled and reliable Site Manager to oversee a cladding project in Hull. The project is expected to run until the end of the year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position afterwards. They are looking for a candidate with strong technical knowledge in cladding who can manage a self-sufficient team of subcontractors, handle day-to-day issues on site, and maintain a high standard of work throughout the project. This is a site-based role, where your presence will be essential to ensure the smooth running of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project stays on track and meets deadlines.
- Manage a self-sufficient team of subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed, while maintaining a visible presence on site.
- Ensure a high standard of work in all aspects of cladding installation, ensuring quality control and compliance with industry standards.
- Be present to speak with residents, addressing any concerns or issues and maintaining good relationships with the local community.
- Ensure the site remains tidy, organised, and safe, particularly given its location on a busy main road.
- Address any day-to-day site issues and resolve them quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to the project and surrounding area.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are met, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, with specific expertise in roofing and cladding projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of the roofing and cladding industry and the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues as they arise.
- A trustworthy and reliable individual who can manage the site with minimal supervision.
- Confident and able to engage with residents, handling any site-related concerns professionally.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors while maintaining a hands-on, visible presence.
- Organised, with the ability to keep the site tidy and ensure that all operations run smoothly.
- Relevant site management qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS card) are essential.
