My client is a leading renewable energy company operating throughout the UK and overseas. Due to continued expansion, they have a vacancy in the North East for an Area Supervisor to join their team in the North East. The successful Area Supervisor will ideally be based in Newcastle, Blaydon, Durham, Hartlepool, York or close surrounding areas and will provide efficient supervision, coordination and guidance of technicians in the Northeast.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer, with proven knowledge and experience of working with engines/generators and have supervised/managed engineering teams. In return you will be joining an established, global company who offer an attractive salary along with benefits package.

Area Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, coordination and guidance of the technicians in the Northeast.
  • Ensure that site operations remain in compliance with all relevant site contracts including (but not limited to) Site Waste Licences, Pollution Prevention Control, Leases and all Electrical agreements.
  • Day to day operations of gas fields, reciprocating assets, solar, energy storage and gas peakers.
  • A commitment to Health & Safety and Environmental practices following all procedures.
  • Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager when required.
  • Maintenance of all mechanical and electrical plant.
  • Provide 24-hour emergency call out cover to respond to plant failures.
  • A commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge.
  • Supervision of Operating Costs.
  • Conduct engineering tasks in the absence of the dedicated area engineer.

Area Supervisor Requirements:

  • Proven experience of supervising/managing teams.
  • Mechanical or electrical skillset with knowledge and experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engines/generators.
  • Experience of working with gas engines would be advantageous.
  • Ability to take part in a callout rota.
  • Flexible approach to travel.
  • IT Literate.
  • Hold full UK driving licence.

Area Supervisor Benefits:

  • Annual salary of up to £46K DOE, OTE £51,500.
