An opportunity has come available for a Assistant Telecoms Design Engineer to join a leading Railway Telecommunications Principal contractor on a permanent basis. Thisposition is based out of York, but offering hybrid working.
This position would be ideal for someone wanting to develop their design experience and skillset with a business offering a great career path and progression within there design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and interpreting site photos.
- Develop drawings for telecom railway projects.
- Design review
- Amending CAD drawings.
- Escalate CAD-related issues to project design team.
- Review site surveys and records for input into drawings.
- Provide input into designers risk assessments and hazard logs.
- Compliance with CDM regulations.
- Working closely with the Telecoms design team.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience in other CAD packages is desirable (AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio).
- Bentley MicroStation experience is essential.
- Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience is essential.
- An understanding of telecoms projects and design within a rail environment would be desirable, but not a must.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
