We’re working with a well-established engineering manufacturer working on precision engineered products used within the Renewable and Subsea sectors that’s on the lookout for a passionate and ambitious Design Engineer to join their innovative team.

Based: Near York

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of product design from concept through to release
  • Producing technical drawings and detailed documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborating with internal teams including procurement, manufacturing, and QA
  • Responding to technical customer queries and reviewing incoming orders
  • Ensuring all designs comply with regulatory and quality standards (ISO9001, ISO14001)
  • Assisting with prototype testing and implementing improvements
  • Supporting data collection for KPIs and participating in continuous improvement projects
  • Interfacing with both customers and suppliers to represent the company's engineering expertise
  • Sharing technical knowledge with colleagues and contributing to training where needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar - Ideally a BEng or MEng
  • Previous experience in a mechanical design or technical engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering principles
  • Confident user of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor is a plus)
  • Skilled in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety
