Piping Designer - Plant 3D - Contract Opportunity - Outside of IR35
Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled Piping Designer with expertise in Plant 3D to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical piping design solutions, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver 2D and 3D piping designs using Plant 3D and other relevant software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction, to deliver optimal technical solutions.
- Conduct technical reviews and assist in risk management for ongoing projects.
- Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Provide support to other designers, checking their technical solutions as necessary.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 quality systems and company safety procedures.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in piping design, with strong knowledge of 2D/3D modelling and software (e.g., Plant 3D, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, welding, NDE, and heat treatment methods.
- Previous site-based experience, including conducting site surveys.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, design standards, and codes.
