I'm working with a highly respected, employee-owned consultancy that's looking to grow its Civils/Geotechnical team in York. They're known for delivering high-quality work across the rail, transport, energy, and infrastructure sectors, with a strong focus on practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
They're now looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer who wants to play a key role in project delivery, team development, and client engagement.
What they're looking for:
- 8+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering with a proven track record on complex, high-profile projects
- Strong background in infrastructure design (e.g. rail, tunnels, retaining walls, stations, etc.)
- Experience working with major clients like Network Rail, London Underground, or TfL
- Technical design expertise across a range of materials: concrete, steel, timber, masonry, FRP
- Chartered or near-chartered (ICE preferred)
- Excellent communication, leadership and client development skills
- A commercial mindset and desire to contribute to a growing team
