Location: York

Salary:  £47,679.90 - £53,166.80 DOE

Hours: 38.5 Hours per week

HCR is looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join a team of committed team of Nurses, working for a reputable and dedicated charity to improve the lives of individuals with acquired brain injuries through substance misuse, illnesses, and trauma, helping them regain lost skills

The Senior Staff Nurse must be caring, empathetic, and supportive of the individuals, and promote positive behaviors throughout the service, promoting the highest standards of care

Senior Staff NurseDuties:

  • To always provide exceptional standards of care, ensuring the best practice guidelines and NMC guidelines are followed, as an enthusiastic role model, proving clinical leadership daily
  • Assist with assessment, admission and discharge planning with the service users care team
  • Assist with clinical audits, risk assessments and maintenance of effective record keeping
  • Ensuring that all staff recognise the potential for or signs of individuals harm, neglect, abuse, including poor clinical practice. Reporting any occurrences and protecting the individuals
  • Responsible for ensuring all staff identify and report any changes regarding safeguarding of all that may be at risk.

Senior Staff NurseRequirements:

  • Must have an active NMC Pin (RMN/RNLD) trained
  • The Senior Staff Nurse, will have 2 years’ experience working as Staff Nurse in a Neurobehavioral setting
  • Have an in depth understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and NMC standards
  • The Senior Staff Nurse must have experience of conducting capacity assessments and leading on best interest decision making
  • Have CQC inspection involvement
  • The Senior Staff Nurse must have experience of managing a team
