Are you an experienced Optometrist?
Evolve are recruiting for an Optometrist to join a leading provider of specialist eye care. As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside consultants, you’ll be carrying out pre and post-operative consultations, assessing the suitability of patients for treatment.
This is a fixed term contract role based in York.

Ideal Requirements for an Optometrist
- Extensive experience working as an Optometrist in a refractive, high street or hospital environment.
- Current GOC registration as a fully qualified Optometrist.
- Experience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems.
- IP qualification with an interest in YAG.
Role Responsibilities for an Optometrist
- Carry out examinations that are associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgeries.
- Provide first line clinical advice to patients and follow the appropriate means of referral to a medical practitioner.
- Give health advice and support to patients attending the hospital.
