A great opportunity has arisen for a Production Controller to join a leading manufacturing company, who provide worldclass solutions to a variety of industries including, Oil & Gas & Offshore.

Job Description:

  • Releasing job cards into production in line with agreed schedules.
  • Handling change to WIP from engineering up revision, and ensuring correct embodiment is followed and actioned.
  • Pushing and pulling product through the production and stores departments.
  • Reviewing shortages and expediting priority materials and activities in line with production requirements.
  • Assist with progress reporting on production.
  • Direct liaison with project managers on dedicated projects
  • Small projects or technical sales order management with support from project team.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements as part of a team.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Educated in a technical field.
  • Proven competency in manufacturing resource planning / materials requirements planning.
  • Prior manufacturing experience – knowledge of schematics / production processes
  • Production planning processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working under own initiative.
  • Relationship development as part of a team.
  • Aware of time critical responsibilities.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Production processes (within an engineering business preferred).
  • Previous experience of manufacturing resource planning / materials requirements.
  • ERP system functionality.
  • Microsoft Excel to intermediate standard ideally: (pivot tables, xlookups advantageous).
