A great opportunity has arisen for a Production Controller to join a leading manufacturing company, who provide worldclass solutions to a variety of industries including, Oil & Gas & Offshore.
Job Description:
- Releasing job cards into production in line with agreed schedules.
- Handling change to WIP from engineering up revision, and ensuring correct embodiment is followed and actioned.
- Pushing and pulling product through the production and stores departments.
- Reviewing shortages and expediting priority materials and activities in line with production requirements.
- Assist with progress reporting on production.
- Direct liaison with project managers on dedicated projects
- Small projects or technical sales order management with support from project team.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements as part of a team.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Educated in a technical field.
- Proven competency in manufacturing resource planning / materials requirements planning.
- Prior manufacturing experience – knowledge of schematics / production processes
- Production planning processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Working under own initiative.
- Relationship development as part of a team.
- Aware of time critical responsibilities.
- Must be computer literate.
- Production processes (within an engineering business preferred).
- Previous experience of manufacturing resource planning / materials requirements.
- ERP system functionality.
- Microsoft Excel to intermediate standard ideally: (pivot tables, xlookups advantageous).Â
