Manufacturing Supervisor

Seeking an exceptional Production Supervisor role? This is a prime opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to become part of a rapidly growing food manufacturing firm.

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the company, guaranteeing the efficient operation of the packing area. Responsibilities include managing regular production tasks, resolving emerging issues, and maintaining a secure and orderly production environment.In exchange, you will receive significant personal investment, a competitive remuneration package, and join a leading company in the market. The ideal Production Supervisor will have an industrial/manufacturing background and be knowledgeable in Continuous Improvement practices.Guided by the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will steer operations by setting priorities, assigning tasks to personnel, planning essential production stages, and proposing enhancements.

As a Production Supervisor your job will require you to:* Plan and organise the people resource on the line to ensure the most efficient production output.* Ensure that all Hygiene and Health & Safety rules and procedures are followed by all operatives. * Ensure that all operatives comply with quality and good manufacturing procedures.* Ensure that all production KPI's are achieved.* Drive efficiencies within the line and department.* Ensure that the Packhouse and other linked areas are kept clean and tidy, at all times. Using a 'clean as you go' rule.* Ensure that pre-production startup checks, and end of shift checklists are completed daily.* Ensure all orders are produced to the highest quality standard and within customer specification.* Ensure all waste and resources are kept to a minimum.* Ensure all documented details are recorded accurately and all changeover information is precise.* Ensure the accurate recording of downtime and batch counter's for KPI purposes* Feedback all quality issues to the Production Manager and Quality Department.* Feedback any machine or equipment issues to Production Manager/Engineering Manager * Continuously monitor the process and offer ideas for improvement.* Motivate your team and develop a good team spirit.* Ensure all staff receive adequate training and report any gaps where applicable.* Leadership - take responsibility for team performance and take corrective action where necessary, * Lead by example - set the standard you want your team to follow.

As a successful Production Supervisor, you will also have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that typically include:* Strong communication skills to actively listen to stakeholders and clearly verbalise ideas and action plans.* Excellent organisational skills to plan production schedules and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.* Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action* Good time-management skills to minimise downtime and ensure a team works efficiently * The ability to cope with pressure and make sound decisions quickly* A firm understanding of health and safety regulations* Continuous improvement of efficiency, quality, and utilisation * Able to understand the product and machinery flow throughout all production processes* Lean manufacturing skills

Working Hours:Circa 45 hours per week. Rota basis 5 days per week (Minimum) to include weekends and Statutory Bank Holidays.Flexibility during audits and customer technical audits and visits and peak seasons.
