Job title: Production Supervisor
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: circa 48 hours per week - 5 days out of 7 based on your rota, must be flexible to work on weekends and bank holidays
Location: Howden/Market Weighton area
Pay rate: £13.50 per hour which goes up after training is completed

Role Overview:
As a Production Supervisor you will assist the Production Manager with daily fresh produce collection, ensuring efficiency and product quality. Oversee team performance and step in during the manager's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise labor resources for optimal production.
- Ensure compliance with Hygiene, Health & Safety, and HACCP standards.
- Maintain quality standards for weight, sizing, and packaging.
- Monitor and meet production KPIs.
- Motivate and manage the team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Provide training on best practices and safety.
- Ensure accurate records and timely communication of updates.
- Collaborate across departments for improved efficiency.
- Conduct daily quality checks and ensure consistent standards.
- Manage staffing levels and update forecasts for the next day.
- Address team performance issues as needed.
Daily Tasks:
- Review work plans and allocated areas before shifts.
- Communicate harvesting priorities clearly.
- Oversee quality throughout the day.
- Adjust workflow and provide feedback as necessary.
- Conduct final checks and collect tools at the end of the day.
Required Experience:
- Supervisory experience in a fresh produce environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for weekend and bank holiday shifts.
Desirable Experience:
- Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience in the fresh produce industry.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
- HACCP training (desirable).
