Building Estimator - York - Permanent
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join this very successful building and refurbishment contractor establishing a strong pipeline of work in Yorkshire, leading to the opening of an York based office in Q2 of 2025.

Candidates must have experience knowledge of all aspects of new build construction and refurbishment and in a variety of sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Handling multiple refurbishment and new build projects up to 2m, traditional and Design & Build tenders, utilising specialist estimating software packages. Having the ability and experience to work independently to produce accurate and competitive tenders
Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries
Producing bills of quantities
Risk and value management
Preparation of budgets, estimates and cost plans
Internal Tender adjudications and external client presentations.
Have a good understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction and contractual awareness.
Value Engineering throughout the design phase of D&B Contracts
Preparation of analytical cost estimates including preliminaries
Adjudication and comparison of Sub Contractor quotations.
Liaison with sub contract and supply chain
Experience of using estimating software
