We are urgently seeking a dedicated and professional Front of House Receptionist to join our team in York. The successful candidate will be the face of our organisation, managing the reception area, handling queue management, and booking visitors. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our front desk and providing excellent customer service to our visitors.
Day-to-day of the role:- Reception Management: Greet and welcome visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Queue Management: Efficiently manage the flow of visitors, ensuring minimal wait times and a smooth queuing process.
- Visitor Booking: Handle visitor bookings, including scheduling appointments, maintaining visitor logs, and issuing visitor badges.
- Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Customer Service: Provide information and assistance to visitors and staff, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
- Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
- Security: Monitor and manage access to the building, ensuring all visitors are properly registered and escorted.
- Experience: Previous experience in a front of house or receptionist role is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Personal Attributes: Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Availability: Must be available to work from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
