Maths Teacher

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch are currently looking to recruit an outstanding and qualified Maths Teacher for relevant secondary school placements in York, with both Easter and September 2025 start dates available. This is a fantastic opportunity for Fully Qualified Teachers (FQT) as well as Early Career Teachers (ECT) looking to make a real impact on students’ learning and development in an engaging environment.

Maths Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
  • Design and implement an engaging and innovative curriculum tailored to the needs of all learners.
  • Inspire and motivate students through diverse teaching strategies and modern educational tools.
  • Ensure adherence to the school’s ethos and behaviour management policies, promoting positive conduct across the school.
  • Encourage students to become independent learners and take ownership of their educational journey.
  • Participate in staff training, team meetings, and parents' evenings as required.

Maths Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold a PGCE in Secondary Maths with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Provide two professional references from the last two years reflecting your teaching experience. For ECT applicants, induction training placements will be accepted.
  • Thrive as a compassionate and dedicated educator, aspiring to manifest a strong understanding of how to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), if required.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
