Role & Client Overview:
Our client is a leading provider of education, training, and employability services, delivering high-quality programmes that support individuals in achieving their full potential. They are seeking a Careers, Information, Advice & Guidance (CIAG) Advisor to join their team at HMP Millsike, supporting prisoners from induction through to release by providing tailored career advice and employment preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 Career Guidance: Support prisoners at key stages, from induction to release, offering tailored advice on career planning and job readiness.
- Develop Digital Personal Learning Plans (DPLPs): Create and review personalised learning plans to support career aspirations and progression.
- Deliver Job Readiness Sessions: Lead engaging group sessions on CV writing, interview skills, job applications, and disclosure letters, ensuring prisoners are fully prepared for employment.
- Collaborate with Employment Hub Partners: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide access to education, work experience, and training opportunities.
- Support RoTL Placements: Assist the Prison Employment Lead in identifying and matching suitable Release on Temporary Licence (RoTL) placements and post-release job opportunities.
Essential/Desirable Criteria:
Essential:
- Level 4 IAG qualification or above.
- Experience in providing career guidance within criminal justice, education, or employability settings.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to rehabilitation and supporting individuals to achieve their potential.
Desirable:
- AET Level 3 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
- Knowledge of prison education, employment pathways, and offender rehabilitation.
