PHP Software Developer

Salary - £31,600

Location: Home – based at home with ad hoc visits to our office in York.

They are seeking a skilled PHP Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain our internal software systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly, secure, and scalable solutions. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining high-quality systems, ensuring robust security models, and providing ongoing system support. You’ll also collaborate with non-technical users, delivering support and training as needed.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong PHP (OOP & Procedural) skills
  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and SQL
  • Familiarity with Microsoft architecture, .NET, and Azure environments
  • Knowledge of version control (GIT)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and project management skills

The successful candidate must complete pre-employment checks that meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, including a requirement to undergo a basic level DBS criminal record check, right to work check and employment history verification.
