Role: Interim Supply Chain Specialist

Rate: Outside IR35-Circa £300 - 340 per day

Location: North Yorkshire

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Interim Supply Chain Specialist on a 3-month initial contract for a public sector organisation.

The Role:

  • Develop a business case for the Supply Chain Project, successfully collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the procurement teams to identify stock which could be bulk purchased to aid cost saving
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the department, ensuring stock levels are agreed with budget holders and finding cost effective routes to donate, reuse or dispose of that stock
  • Identify and rectify any catalogue management issues where products are not removed or updated
  • Support the Director of Procurement in implementing Supplier and Contract Management to improve supply chain delivery and resilience

The Person:

  • Extensive experience within Supply Chain, across either Public or Private sector organisations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
  • A track record of change management and leading strategies to modernise a Supply Chain function
