The Sales Engineer will build and maintain strong customer relationships, attend industry events, and contribute to business development efforts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales and growth targets while delivering excellent service to both new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to promote products and services.
  • Work closely with existing clients to anticipate changing needs and provide expert advice on suitable machinery options.
  • Build and maintain strong communication with customers through regular calls, meetings, and documented reports.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions and conferences, acting professionally at all times.
  • Negotiate and close orders in line with agreed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Respond to and manage customer queries on both technical and commercial levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve overall business success.
  • Work within an established budget, ensuring careful financial planning and record-keeping.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in selling high-value equipment within a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Understanding of the steel machining sector and its nuances.
  • Ability to produce technical documents, including reports and quotations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, respond, and provide solutions proactively.
  • Ability to balance client needs and expectations with business objectives.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of capital equipment is desirable.
