The Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to join our day shift cleaning team as the Day Shift Train Cleaning Team Leader, based at York Station. The day shift team play an essential role in ensuring a high level of service is met and as the Team Leader you will be supervising and guiding the team to achieve top quality cleanliness standards whilst on shift. With hundreds of commuters travelling out of York Station daily, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the turnaround cleaning team work robustly in completing their cleaning tasks. Your role will be essential in ensuring the team completes task with efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard.

The roster plan covers the working house 09:00am – 19:00pm, on a five on four off and four on five off roster pattern. Full flexibility to work on the week is required with overtime often available at managements discretion.

About You

If this role as a Day Shift Train Cleaning Team Leader has caught your interest, here is what you need to be considered:

Ideally, you will be experienced within a vehicle/industrial or house cleaning environment. Having been in a similar team leader role in a previous job will also be welcomed. Strong leadership and good communication are vital is this role as you will be overseeing a variety of individuals to achieve set targets.

You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering a clean and safe environment clean for customers.

Training is provided covering depot protection, site safety and cleaning solutions. Work is undertaken in a safety critical environment so you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.
