Job Title: Train Cleaning Operative

Contract Details: Temporary - 4 on 4 off rotation, 19:00 to 05:00
Salary: 12.90 per hour
Number of People Required: 1

About Our Client:
Our client is a leading transportation organisation in York, dedicated to providing safe and efficient train services. They operate with a strong focus on cleanliness and maintaining a high standard of hygiene for their passengers.
Responsibilities:
As a Train Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the train fleet. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing basic cleaning and janitorial services to maintain the cleanliness of the trains
- Completing routine tasks and following instructions from your supervisor
- Using tools and power equipment efficiently to carry out cleaning tasks
- Keeping both indoor and outdoor industrial and office sites clean and in excellent condition
- Working collaboratively with a team of 3-4 individuals
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Good communication skills, with the ability to understand and speak basic English
- Ability to work on your feet for the majority of the shift, with breaks provided
- Willingness to learn and follow site induction, health and safety guidelines, and job expectations
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
While no previous experience is required for this position, any background in cleaning or facilities services would be beneficial.
