Role: Health & Safety/ Fire Consultant

Location: York (projects across North Yorkshire)

WRG and excited to support an independent management consultancy that operate across the UK. In recent years the business has heavily invested in their safety & compliance team and this has grown significantly, our client has developed an excellent reputation in the sector which has led to them winning repeat work and being appointed on various frameworks.

Due to this continued success, they are now looking to appoint a H&S/ Fire Consultant to join their established safety team and oversee a diverse portfolio of projects (Estates, FM, Retail, Healthcare, Education, and Construction) across North Yorkshire.

The role would suit an experienced and independent H&S/ fire safety professional who has worked within consultancy setting previously, offering a range of H&S services to clients and is able to liaise with various stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Offer a variety of health & safety/ fire safety services to a diverse client base.
  • Familiar with all associated documentation relating to CDM 2015 e.g CPPs, PCIs, H&S file etc.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders on projects client, principal contractor, architect and keep them updated in relation to H&S/ fire safety matters.
  • Carry out risk assessments and fire risk assessments on projects.
  • Carry out site inspections and accident investigations when required.
  • Client account management.
  • Develop client relationships and build new ones.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Fire or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Member to IOSH, APS, IIRMS or a similar professional body.
  • Member to IFE or IFSM.
  • Excellent working knowledge of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
