We are currently enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant. Job Description

As a trainee teaching assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their learning, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. You will play a vital role in creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment helping to foster students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Help to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to the class teacher.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
  • DBS Enhanced Check.
