The Role:

As an EDI/Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, relevant, and challenging lessons at A-Level in a variety of Humanities subjects, with a strong focus on the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. You will help students develop a deep understanding of global issues, human rights, and social justice, while also supporting their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching in Humanities subjects (Sociology, Psychology, Politics, History, etc.) for classes up to and including A-Level.
  • Promote and embed EDI values in the classroom and across the school community.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage all students and cater for diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
  • Support and guide students in their personal, social, and academic growth.

About You:

Supply Desk are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified teacher who is committed to promoting equality and inclusion through their teaching practice. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant degree in Humanities or a related field (Sociology, Psychology, History, etc.).
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching at A-Level (preferred but not essential).
  • A passion for EDI and a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to inspire and engage students and support their academic and personal growth.
